What is an Asset Tag?
The Samsara Asset Tag is the size of a mini chocolate bar and uses Bluetooth technology, along with the Samsara Network, to provide real-time location tracking of the assets they are attached to.
What is asset tagging?
Tagging assets with a small tracker, like the Asset Tag, helps in tracking, locating and managing physical assets, preventing theft and simplifying inventory management.
What kinds of small assets can be tracked?
The Asset Tag can track any small, mission-critical asset, including, but not limited to:
toolboxes, containers, lawnmowers, generators, pumps, fibre spools, bins, portable toilets, skip loaders, chainsaws and much more.

How does the Asset Tag work?
The Asset Tag works by using Bluetooth technology in conjunction with the Samsara Network, an industrial network made up of data from our extensive number of Vehicle and Asset Gateways. The Asset Tag emits a Bluetooth signal that is detected by nearby Samsara gateways. The Samsara Network coverage is able to provide near real-time location updates through the Samsara dashboard, where you can track and manage tagged assets.
