Through our annual Connected Operations Awards, we celebrate the incredible achievements of our customers and recognize the hard work behind it. These awards honor leading fleets, companies, government entities, and individuals transforming their operations and creating impactful outcomes.
Each year, the number of submissions amazes us. Our enterprise applicants broke records this year with a 73% increase in the United States, 250% increase in Canada, 133% increase in Mexico, and 183% increase in EMEA. These submissions are filled with meaningful stories of safety, efficiency, and sustainability wins. However, there was one outstanding theme across all submissions: it’s the people—the frontline workers that keep our world moving—that make these accomplishments possible. Our Awards Committee extends their gratitude to all applicants for taking the time to submit their stories and share their impact.

The Connected Operations Award for Safest Operator (North America) recognizes organizations that protect employees, safeguard communities, and prevent incidents. This year's winner is committed to prioritizing safety and understands how technology can help protect their employees and the communities where they work.
Quality Custom Distribution (QCD), a subsidiary of Golden State Foods, provides customized distribution services across the United States for major brands like Starbucks, Raising Cane’s, and Chipotle, operating a fleet of 885 vehicles and 1,360 drivers out of 25 locations across the United States. Driven by a strong safety culture emphasizing coaching over corrective action, QCD uses Samsara's AI Dash Cams and Connected Training to dramatically reduce high-risk behaviors like mobile usage and following distance. Furthermore, QCD leverages Samsara's HD video for driver exonerations and ELD solution for improved HOS compliance.
QCD achieved a reduction in auto claims, resulting in millions saved that they were able to reinvest into their business. As they’ve built up their safety culture and positive recognition program, they also improved driver retention. This was, in part, achieved by targeting unsafe behaviors with in-cab alerts, notably bringing mobile device use down and completely eliminating drowsy-driving crashes. Additionally, Samsara Connected Training enables a significant jump in workflow compliance from their previous paper-based process.

The Connected Operations Award for Safest Operator (EMEA) recognizes organizations that use technology to improve safety within their workforce and the communities they serve. This year's winner exemplifies this commitment by improving safety and fostering a proactive safety culture with Samsara's technology.
Vp Brandon Hire Station, the UK’s trusted tool and equipment hire specialist, manages over 500 vehicles across 120 locations. Facing high accident costs and limited visibility into driver behavior, they implemented Samsara AI Dash Cams, Vehicle Telematics, and the Driver App. This transformed their safety program, moving from a reactive to proactive approach backed by data.
Since implementing Samsara, they have seen significant safety improvements, achieving a remarkable 40% reduction in third-party accident costs, saving £192,000 to date. Targeted coaching based on AI detections led to a 93% reduction in mobile phone usage, a 90% reduction in following distance violations, and an 88% reduction in speeding incidents. Their average Safety Score improved from 83 to 93, with 92 drivers achieving perfect 100 scores. Samsara footage has also been crucial for driver exoneration, building trust within the team, and earning dash cam evangelists.

The Connected Operations Award for Excellence in Systems Efficiency recognizes organizations that make data go further by transforming systems to improve operational efficiency, utilization, and productivity of fleet and equipment. This year's winner unified their three separate fleets into one cohesive supply chain while also realizing widespread efficiency and safety gains.
Mohawk Industries is the largest flooring manufacturer in the world with 800+ tractors and 2,500+ trailers in their fleet. From transporting raw materials to delivering finished products to customers, Mohawk relies on their three fleets—first, middle, and final mile—to efficiently and safely move their goods. With Samsara, they digitally transformed their operations while keeping each division running on their preferred TMS. Using Samsara technology and data, they optimized their biggest expense areas and created a standardized experience for their drivers and back office, saving time and effort. Today, Mohawk uses Samsara to manage nearly all aspects of their supply chain including safety, workforce management, trailer tracking, and fleet management.
With Fleet Telematics, Mohawk closed the gap in planned vs. actual routing to save over $7.75M annually by reducing mileage by 25%. AI Dash Cams enable drivers to self-coach and transform lagging metrics to leading metrics, resulting in a 13% reduction in accidents. With Smart Trailers, they have access to granular utilization and trailer health data, allowing them to remove 200 trailers from their fleet and save $500,000 annually. Finally, the Samsara platform and turnkey integrations simplifies their operations to reduce repetitive tasks.

The Connected Operations Award for Most Sustainable Operations (North America) recognizes organizations that drive reductions in fuel waste, carbon emissions, energy usage, and food waste. This year's winner maximizes EV utilization and minimizes environmental impact through data-driven decisions related to energy consumption and battery longevity.
Alto Experience offers an elevated rideshare experience that prioritizes consistency, professionalism, and safety. Focusing on a luxury, EV-first model, they employ professional drivers for their company-owned fleet, offering industry-leading benefits like bonuses, healthcare, and 401(k) plans. They use Samsara EV fleet management to optimize charging and monitor battery performance to reduce energy costs and address range concerns. Samsara AI Dash Cams and safety alerts enable Alto to enhance driver and passenger safety by providing real-time feedback and incident analysis. Additionally, Alto integrates Samsara with internal systems via the open API to streamline operations, manage vehicle locations, and inform strategic decisions, including routing and pricing.
Using Samsara insights, Alto achieved a 66% reduction in energy costs for its EV fleet (compared to ICE vehicles) and cut fuel and energy costs by 53% to just 6% of their total revenue. Alto also reduced their insurance costs as a result of their safe driving record with Samsara, paying 77% less per trip than their peers. Furthermore, Alto is actively exploring and integrating alternative energy sources for charging, demonstrating a commitment to innovative and environmentally conscious practices within the rideshare industry. The Connected Operations Award for Most Sustainable Operations (EMEA) recognizes organizations that are committed to reducing their environmental impact and driving business policies that contribute to a better environment. This year's winner accelerates their sustainability efforts related to eco-driving and energy transition using Samsara data insights.
Founded over 70 years ago, RubanBleu Group is a family-run business with ambitious sustainability goals, including a 100% clean fleet by 2026. They're actively implementing proactive policies to reduce CO2 emissions and using data to invest wisely in clean vehicles.
RubanBleu utilizes Samsara driving data to promote eco-responsible practices. This has led to a 14% average reduction in fuel consumption, saving €49,000 annually and cutting CO2 emissions by 7% per kilometer. Additionally, idling time is down, leading to a 27% decrease in fuel waste. Samsara data also supports their vehicle energy transition, with 92% of their 480 vehicles transitioned to clean energy in late 2024. By using Samsara AI Dash Cams, RubanBleu experienced a 30% drop in accidents for which the company is responsible.

The Connected Operations Award for Digital Transformation of the Year recognizes organizations that are turning outdated, manual processes into cutting-edge technologies for revolutionized operations. This year's winner integrated 11 concurrent IT workstreams with Samsara after rolling out AI Dash Cams and Fleet Telematics fleetwide for the first time in company history.
Republic Services is a leader in the environmental services industry. With 42,000 employees and 18,000 trucks, the company operates throughout North America, providing recycling and waste products and services to residential, municipal and commercial customers. Republic implemented Samsara technology and cameras to replace legacy recorder cameras and scale safety efforts across their operations. Additionally, fleet telematics enable proactive maintenance with real-time fault codes and automated service scheduling.
In-cab alerts and manager-led coaching resulted in fast success for Republic Services. Providing another way to bring safety data into daily focus helped the company achieve significant safety wins and build upon its culture of positive recognition. Republic Services enhanced its coaching program based on Samsara insights to reduce “unfocused” behaviors and recognize safe driving.

The Connected Operations Award for Most Innovative Workforce recognizes organizations that modernize the user experience to improve workforce performance and solve critical challenges. This year's winner improved nearly every aspect of their business with complete operational visibility, impacting their bottom line, worker experience, and asset management.
Maxim Crane Works is the leading crane rental company in the United States, with more than 2,000 vehicles across more than 50 locations, providing lifting services to key construction industries like petrochemical, oil and gas, commercial high rise, and freeway expansion. Maxim Crane deployed Samsara across their operations, including telematics, asset tracking, dash cams, and workforce management to achieve significant operational efficiencies. This technology enables better tracking of modular and distributed equipment, incentivizes safety, improves equipment utilization, and digitizes processes. In particular, they use the Asset Tag on 28 crane climbers—specialized and high-value pieces of equipment they strategically move between job sites.
In 2024 alone, Maxim Crane saved over $13M in maintenance costs by shifting their maintenance program from reactive to proactive with Samsara equipment and vehicle diagnostic data. By exonerating drivers from not-at-fault accidents and false claims with dash cam footage, Maxim Crane has reduced their insurance premiums.

The Connected Operations Award for Excellence in Performance (Government) recognizes organizations that leverage technology to provide top-notch services to states, cities, and local communities. This year's winner had the foresight to know the benefits of using telematics technology on every state-managed vehicle, leading to significant improvements in safety, operational efficiency, and emergency response.
The Tennessee Department of General Services' Vehicle and Asset Management (VAM) division oversees all state vehicles and equipment, ranging from cars and trucks to lawnmowers and bulldozers. By using Samsara Vehicle Gateways, Asset Gateways, and Asset Tags, they optimize these assets through dormancy and utilization reports, which help inform decisions about budgeting and purchasing new vehicles. Live GPS tracking enables quick recovery of assets and fast emergency response, providing precise dispatch and ETAs during events like hurricanes. Additionally, VAM uses vehicle data for sustainability planning and to exonerate drivers from false speeding claims.
Since rolling out Samsara fleetwide, VAM experienced a 78% reduction in severe speeding events, with improvements across 35 out of 36 agencies, and an 8% decrease in total fleet speeding time. In 2024, they recovered seven stolen vehicles, valued at $150,000, through real-time tracking. The state also identified 25 vehicles for potential EV conversion in 2025, demonstrating progress towards their sustainability goals.

The Connected Operations Award for Excellence in Performance (Education) recognizes organizations that demonstrate improved service delivery for students and their communities using technology. This year's winner leverages real-time data and customizable alerts for tasks ranging from maintenance and inventory to emergency response and environmental reporting, leading to stronger communication and an improved reputation.
Established in 1855, Michigan State University (MSU) serves over 52,000 students and operates a diverse fleet across its extensive campus. Several of MSU’s departments—including Transportation Services, Building Services, and Landscape Services—use Samsara for real-time monitoring of equipment usage and idle times. Samsara's GPS tracking and asset tagging capabilities streamline inventory management and enable asset recovery. MSU also uses real-time location data for rapid emergency dispatch and efficient snow removal operations, and tracks fuel consumption and emissions for environmental reporting as well as sustainability initiatives including environmental policy reporting.
As a result, the university reduced idling time by 71%, resulting in annual savings of $60,000. Through improved asset tracking, MSU protects $1M in capital assets from theft and loss. Using Samsara insights to inform their maintenance program, the university achieved a 30% savings in parts and labor repair costs, increased hours between preventative maintenance cycles by 30%, and saved $15,000 annually on maintenance. The Connected Operations Award for Technology Leader of the Year recognizes a leader who has spearheaded digital transformation, driving safety, efficiency, and sustainability gains across their organization’s operations. This year's winner accelerated technology adoption to break down cross-functional silos and ensure data-driven decision making, achieving a significant digital transformation within just one year of implementing Samsara.
Ferrellgas, a leading propane supplier with more than 85 years of experience, operates with a technology-driven mindset spearheaded by Megan Sharp, Vice President of Operations Support. The company has deployed Samsara Vehicle Gateways and uses a range of Samsara solutions to enhance fleet safety, track compliance, and manage fuel consumption. With Samsara Safety Dashboard and Idling Reports, Ferrellgas monitors driver behavior and efficiency, while the Samsara Driver App has allowed the company to consolidate their field communications and digitize their workforce operations with paperless DVIRs. Moreover, Ferrellgas has streamlined their operations by integrating the Samsara platform with various systems, including Roadnet, WEX, and Power BI.
With Samsara, Ferrelgas achieved a 5% reduction in speeding and harsh driving events, and an 80% improvement in trip assignment and user login year-over-year. By targeting idling, Ferrellgas improved driver efficiency scores by 33%, leading to approximately $2 million in fuel savings. The organization also reported a 6% reduction in maintenance costs and a 12% decrease in vehicle defects. Furthermore, the shift to digital DVIRs reduced completion time by 90%, saving over 12,000 employee hours.

The Connected Operations Award for Industry Innovator (EMEA) recognizes companies that deliver a measurable shift in operational performance by introducing new technologies. This year's winner has demonstrated a best-in-class approach to digital transformation, integrating data and leveraging new technologies to drive a significant step-change in their operations.
OCU Group Limited leads the way in end-to-end infrastructure engineering in the utilities, digital, and energy markets, specializing in safely and efficiently delivering complex client requirements. Operating nationwide, they are supported by a fleet of over 2,700 vehicles daily. Facing rising insurance costs and fleet risk due to minimal visibility into driver behavior and unreliable memory-based cameras, OCU Group partnered with Samsara. Their solution involved implementing AI Dash Cams, Vehicle Telematics, and an API integration to replace outdated tracking systems and protect drivers while improving risk management.
Since implementing Samsara, OCU Group has achieved remarkable results. They saw a 28% reduction in total claims volume for 2024 - 2025 when compared to the previous insurance year. There was also a 42% reduction in total claim insurance costs when compared to the previous insurance year—while growing their fleet by 600 vehicles. This was largely due to more efficient incident reporting, with 70% of claims now reported to insurers within 48 hours compared to a previous minimum of around 3-4 days.

The Connected Operations Award for Excellence in Driver Engagement (EMEA) recognizes companies that empower, protect, and reward drivers through outstanding driver engagement programs. This year's winner demonstrates how AI Dash Cams—combined with a strong safety culture—can build safer habits, protect drivers from false claims, and significantly improve driver engagement scores.
Delifresh has grown into a national food-supply solution, serving over 2,000 customers across the UK catering and hospitality industry with 1,200 to 1,500 multi-drop deliveries daily. With approximately 150 drivers covering 100 different routes, the company looked to adopt a more granular approach to driver safety and fleet management. Their initiative focused on creating a values-driven culture of safety that extended beyond metrics to genuinely care for their drivers' wellbeing. The company replaced outdated tracking systems with Samsara AI Dash Cams, Connected Training, and Vehicle Telematics to better protect their drivers and improve efficiency.
Delifresh's journey with Samsara transformed their approach to safety. By incentivizing safe driving through a company-wide, profit-sharing bonus plan, Delifresh achieved a 35% reduction in distracted driving and decreased driver fatigue with Drowsiness Detection alerts. Connected Training led to a 97% completion rate of over 4,000 courses, contributing to a 61% reduction in average insurance claims cost per vehicle. Additionally, insurance reporting time decreased from 21 to 6 days, and enhanced proof of delivery workflows led to a 54% reduction in unnecessary redelivery miles.

This year's winner actively contributes to a safer environment by consistently reporting road hazards and community issues, ensuring secure journeys for students and passengers.
Operating a large fleet with over 1,000 employees, Storer Transportation provides school bus, transit, and charter services. Committed to safety and community service, the organization partnered with Samsara to improve operations and driver safety across its 700-vehicle fleet. The company uses Samsara Safety Scores to identify high-performing drivers and provide targeted coaching, leading to reductions in distracted driving. On-demand AI Dash Cam footage aids in efficient incident investigation and claim resolution. Continuous bus tracking also optimizes payroll, facilitates route adjustments to avoid unnecessary hires, and allows real-time communication of bus statuses to schools.
Elizabeth Martinez is a professional special needs school bus driver with over two decades of experience, and she is being honored for her strong commitment to the safety and well-being of her students. She fosters a welcoming environment by building strong relationships with students and parents, ensuring a positive start and end to their school day. Elizabeth actively utilizes Samsara's panic button to report incidents and identify community hazards like potholes, contributing to safety beyond her bus. She also dedicates her time to mentoring new bus drivers, emphasizing patience, awareness, and prioritizing safety as core tenets of the job.
The Connected Operations Award for Top Driver (Canada) recognizes a professional driver who not only demonstrates exceptional safety and efficiency behind the wheel but also goes above and beyond in delivering exceptional service to customers. This year’s winner exemplifies the dedication, precision, and commitment that define top-tier drivers across the industry.
Martin Brower, a supply chain solutions provider for leading restaurant brands around the world and in Canada, prioritizes safety and efficiency through its robust driver training program and operational excellence. Driver Alexey Khorev embodies these principles. Driving through the heavily congested streets of Toronto and surrounding areas, Alexey achieved an outstanding safety score of 100 while maintaining a 98.2% on-time delivery rate—3.2% above the company’s target. Despite the challenges of city driving, he reported zero harsh events and only 0.2% speeding incidents over 11 months.
In recognition of his exceptional record, Alexey scored a remarkable 107/100 in Martin Brower’s internal scoring system—earning bonus points for his perfect safety score, exceeding on-time delivery targets, and reducing idling by 60% beyond the company’s standard. Beyond the numbers, Alexey’s professionalism and customer-first approach have earned him glowing feedback from clients, reinforcing his reputation as a model driver.
The Connected Operations Award for Top Driver (Mexico) recognizes a professional driver with an outstanding safety record and encourages their peers to improve their own habits. This year's winner advocates for safety complemented by Samsara technology and has served as a role model and mentor for new drivers.
Established 38 years ago in northwestern Mexico, Paquetexpress started as a parcel and courier service. Today, it's an integrated logistics company operating across Mexico with over 3,500 fully operational vehicles, processing shipments to more than 190 countries and territories.
With AI Dash Cams, Paquetexpress has achieved 30% reduction in safety-related events such as: safety belt use, mobile phone use, speeding, among others; and the severity of incidents by 20%, which has directly contributed to the improvement of its insurance program, with a 40% reduction in the overall accident rate in its vehicle fleet in the last two years. By monitoring key safety metrics and providing drivers with performance reports, they have empowered drivers to proactively improve their driving habits.
One such driver is Felipe Cortez Perez who recently secured second place in Mexico's ANTP’s 25th National Road Safety Award. Additionally, on the Samsara platform, Felipe boasts an impressive record of 67,168 kilometers driven with a Safety Score of 95. He guides and mentors new associates at Paquetexpress, encouraging his team to follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents. Even after their initial training, new associates continue to benefit from his guidance and mentorship. By incorporating feedback and using safety records in his Samsara dashboard, Felipe consistently improves his own Safety Score and contributes to enhancing the company's overall safety culture.

This year's winner actively contributes to a safer environment by consistently excelling in their own performance and by mentoring their peers, ensuring safer journeys for all.
CLEAN Linen & Workwear, part of the Alsco family of companies, is a leading provider of textile rental and laundry services for over 2,000 customers throughout the UK. Their team of 250 drivers delivers linens and uniforms to hospitality and industrial customers daily. Facing rising collision rates and insurance costs, CLEAN realized a disciplinary approach wasn't effective. They replaced outdated tracking systems with Samsara AI-powered technology and redefined their approach to driver management, focusing on support and empowerment rather than punishment.
Sean Farrell, a Senior Driver at CLEAN, has emerged as a true safety champion. He has maintained a collision-free record since joining in 2016 and achieved an exceptional safety score of 96 throughout 2024. Sean's personal approach to peer coaching includes spending time understanding drivers' challenges and using Samsara's data to provide practical, relatable advice. Under his coaching guidance and using Samsara safety insights, the Camberley depot alone reduced collisions by 52%, improved Safety Scores by 50%, and increased eco-driving scores by 23%. CLEAN’s safety approach also resulted in a significant annual reduction in insurance premiums. In addition, CLEAN received a cash bursary from their insurer, which is being reinvested into CLEAN’s driver training programs, highlighting the tangible impact of their driver engagement initiatives.

The Connected Operations Award for Excellence in Physical Security recognizes organizations that drive positive impact in the communities they serve while safeguarding their assets and teams. This year's winner transformed asset and driver protection, decreased safety incidents, and improved asset tracking and recovery.
Mexicana Logistics (Mexlog) is a transportation and logistics company specializing in vehicle transport, particularly cross border operations. Founded in Mexicali, Baja California, the company is responsible for transporting more than 150,000 8-class trucks and 225,000 light-vehicles annually. Using Samsara data, Mexlog established a dedicated department to optimize decision-making and proactively improve safety, efficiency, and productivity. AI Dash Cams helped significantly improve driver behavior while the Driver App digitized manual processes, such as driver expense and fuel requests, reducing administrative overhead.
Building on their deployment of Samsara, Mexlog enhanced security and minimized losses including an 80% reduction in emergency detection times, a 33% decrease in overall theft incidents over the past three years, and a remarkable 97% reduction in saddle thefts. Notably, they successfully recovered 12 units and three drivers without damage from a single trip. Furthermore, Mexlog has experienced improved inventory control and management across their operations.
