In transportation and logistics, the stakes are always high. Cross-country and cross-border operations demand constant precision—especially in winter, when unpredictable weather, tight delivery windows, and an ongoing driver shortage add pressure to every decision on the road.

At All Routes Logistics, safety and visibility aren’t optional—they’re foundational. Family-owned and operated since 2005, the founders embedded safety into the company culture from day one, shaping how drivers are supported and how the business continues to evolve. That commitment is reflected in a modern fleet made up entirely of 2023-and-newer trucks—an investment designed to support reliable operations and the latest safety technology.

Just as intentionally, All Routes invests in its people. Every driver brings a minimum of three years of experience and is trusted to operate in some of the most demanding long-haul and city-driving conditions across Canada and the U.S. For the company, recognizing drivers isn't just about morale, it’s a way to make strong safety performance visible and worth celebrating.

Samsara’s internal data shows that All Routes stands out as one of the safest carriers in the Greater Toronto Area, with half of its drivers earning safety scores of 90% and above and three achieving a perfect 100%. We visited the company’s headquarters in Milton, Ontario, to see how that focus on safety and efficiency shows up across the organization.

“From the beginning, safety has been at the core of who we are as a company. Partnering with Samsara helps us build on that foundation—supporting our drivers, strengthening our operations, and delivering the reliability our customers expect as we continue to grow.”

Turning visibility into everyday confidence

Keeping hundreds of high-value assets moving across provinces and international borders requires more than good planning, it requires constant awareness.

For Vishal Verma, Lead Highway Supervisor at All Routes, visibility is what allows his team to stay proactive rather than reactive while overseeing more than 155 trucks and 600 trailers across Canada and the U.S. “Samsara helps us a lot. I can track drivers and see the conditions they’re driving in, and track trailers and know exactly where they are immediately. We can see everything in one view, without having to open different tabs.”

With a lean team, clarity matters. Instead of juggling systems or second-guessing locations, Verma and his colleagues use real-time data to focus their attention where it’s needed most. Tags and Dual-Facing AI Dash Cams allow the team to narrow in on specific regions, routes, or drivers.

“We use Tags to filter everything,” said Verma. “If we need to track only U.S. drivers, we can. If we need to track just Quebec drivers, we can. We can also see weather conditions on the map, which is very helpful.”

That same visibility plays a critical role beyond internal operations. When dispatch teams can see the full picture, they can set clearer expectations and reduce uncertainty for customers, without adding pressure on drivers. “Every customer wants on-time deliveries. They want to know exact ETAs. Being able to send a live tracking link is super helpful. I have full visibility, the customer has full visibility, and the driver can stay focused on the road. It’s my favourite feature.”

Saving time while keeping drivers focused

For dispatcher Anmolpreet Bahga, that operational clarity has changed how day-to-day work gets done. Since switching from their previous provider, the difference has been tangible. “The main thing we saw with our switch from Isaac to Samsara was time savings. I always know where all my equipment is, so I don’t have to go back and forth between different tabs like I did before.”

That reduction in manual work has reshaped how dispatch communicates with drivers. Instead of relying on frequent check-in calls, dispatch can answer questions instantly from the dashboard. “We don’t have to call them for ETAs because everything is live in the dashboard.”

The result is a quieter cab, fewer distractions, and more space for drivers to stay focused on the road.

Coaching that builds safer driving habits—and real pride

For Tejas Mehta, Director of Safety & Claims, visibility isn’t about monitoring for the sake of oversight, it’s about creating opportunities to intervene early and support safer habits across the fleet. “Samsara is wonderful when it comes to events or potential HOS violations. If something occurs, we can coach it right away.”

All Routes pairs Samsara insights with in-person group sessions and one-on-one coaching, giving drivers a clear understanding of where they’re excelling and where small adjustments can make a difference. Over time, daily, monthly, and annual safety reports help the team track progress—and celebrate it. “The safety scores keep drivers motivated,” said Mehta. “When they see a score of 99%, they feel proud—it’s not an easy thing to achieve.”

With nearly a decade of experience in transportation safety and compliance, Mehta sees usability as critical to keeping that feedback loop consistent and effective. “It’s very user-friendly. I’ve worked with many software platforms, but Samsara is wonderful. It gives us an eagle’s-eye view of everything.”

Building on that foundation, All Routes is now expanding how visibility supports accountability with the recent addition of Samsara’s Connected Asset Maintenance, further streamlining their maintenance program.

For Mehta, it’s another way to connect drivers and maintenance teams around shared responsibility for safety and reliability. “I worked with another company that was using Samsara’s maintenance tools, and they were saving a lot of money,” said Mehta. “When a defect is noted in a DVIR, the system creates a repair work order right away, which helps create better collaboration between the driver and the maintenance team. Preventative maintenance is really important.”

Turning visibility into recognition

By consistently celebrating drivers and the teams who support them, All Routes reinforces a culture where accountability is shared and success is visible. Top performers are recognized with catered lunches, gifts, and public acknowledgement—simple gestures that carry real weight in a demanding industry.

With one connected platform supporting supervisors, dispatchers, safety leaders, drivers, and customers, All Routes has transformed operational complexity into clarity. In an industry defined by constant motion and high stakes, visibility leads to accountability, and accountability builds pride.
