DI Environnement is transforming the management of its field operations with Samsara
The company uses Samsara to anticipate operations, secure assets, and automate site management, creating a real-time link between complex field logistics and back-office efficiency.
Meet DI Environnement
650 EMPLOYEES IN THE FIELD
1,000+ PROJECTS MANAGED PER YEAR
125 VEHICLES
The Challenge
Logistical complexity across multiple construction sites required better visibility
DI Environnement specialises in high-stakes decontamination, including asbestos removal and contaminated soil remediation. Managing over 1,000 projects annually across 22 locations created significant logistical hurdles for a fleet of 125 utility vehicles, five heavy goods vehicles, and specialised field equipment.
The primary challenge was the lack of real-time data to coordinate interventions and manage assets spread across various sites. Each manager could supervise up to seven sites simultaneously, making manual tracking unmanageable. "We needed a robust solution that could provide us with a complete, real-time view of our vehicles and equipment," says Claude Rosati, Managing Director.
“Samsara enables us to anticipate operations and events, make decisions faster, and better secure our operations. These tools are perfectly suited to our field operations and are changing the lives of our teams.”

The Solution
Real-time vehicle telematics and asset tracking integrated with enterprise systems
DI Environnement selected Samsara for its reliability and ease of deployment in demanding field conditions. The company equipped its entire fleet with geolocation solutions to coordinate interventions and react immediately to unforeseen circumstances.
Beyond vehicles, the company deployed Samsara GPS trackers to secure more than 100 critical assets, including mobile decontamination units and generators essential for site power. This tracking capability allows teams to see the location of every asset at a glance, eliminating equipment downtime.
Crucially, the solution was integrated directly into DI Environnement's ERP system. Now, when a new site opens, asset movements—including entries, exits, and equipment presence—are automatically tracked and synced in real time. For safety and CSR, the fleet was also equipped with on-board cameras to analyse driving behaviour and measure environmental indicators.
The Result
Samsara drives a 20% increase in administrative efficiency and prevents costly asset loss
Samsara has become a strategic lever for DI Environnement’s transformation, delivering measurable impacts across safety, logistics, and productivity:
20% time saved in site management: Automation between Samsara and the company's ERP has significantly reduced manual tracking for operational and back-office teams.
Recovered stolen equipment: The company successfully recovered two stolen generators worth approximately €7,500 each thanks to GPS tracking.
Optimised asset utilisation: By identifying idle equipment, teams can reallocate generators and decontamination units to where they are needed most.
Improved CSR performance: Real-time data on CO2 emissions and driving behaviour has directly contributed to the company achieving Ecovadis certification.
“When you consider the price of a single piece of equipment... the return on investment in securing dozens of assets is achieved from the very first theft prevented.”
