The Challenge
Limited visibility into operations created gaps in safety and customer service
Tank You is an innovative player facilitating access to energy for professional fleets in France. Founded in 2017, the company delivers diesel, gasoline, biofuels, and electricity directly to tanks for sectors like transport and construction.
However, as the company grew, it lacked the tools needed for real-time operational visibility. "Before Samsara, we couldn't tell where a driver was when a customer called to report a delay. We lacked visibility into our operations, which prevented us from providing accurate information to our customers," says Julien Le Bouëtté, Green & Technical Engineer.
Additionally, an unusual increase in claims meant the company needed to strengthen operational safety to renew its insurance and move away from manual, informal reporting processes.

The Solution
A comprehensive solution for safety, eco-driving, and video telematics
After evaluating options, Tank You selected Samsara for its flexibility and capacity for innovation. "Traditional solutions were often too rigid or too expensive for us. Samsara ticked all the boxes," emphasises Le Bouëtté.
The company implemented a phased rollout, starting with vehicle tracking and moving into digital inspections to replace paper-based reports. This transition enabled accurate, consistent monitoring of vehicle status and established a rigorous, documented process for the fleet.
In 2025, Tank You equipped its entire fleet with Samsara road-facing cameras. The technology was presented transparently to the worker’s council as a tool for collective protection rather than surveillance. This helped the team embrace the technology as a way to exonerate drivers and provide educational coaching.
Furthermore, Tank You leveraged Samsara data to roll out an eco-driving program featuring individual safety ratings and a bonus system to incentivise best practices behind the wheel.

Restored insurer confidence: While only one insurer would cover the fleet previously, two insurers are now willing to provide support based on the new data-driven safety profile.
