A growing number of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) brands are delivering their vehicles and equipment with embedded telematics hardware. But additional OEM hardware means more proprietary cloud software to store and manage data. As a result, fleet managers of mixed fleets are left juggling multiple platforms, with many having their own unique interface and features. OEM telematics can provide valuable data but relying solely on them for mixed fleet operations can lead to a disjointed experience when trying to find accurate and actionable insights for improving operations.

In the construction industry, which has some of the highest variances in fleet makeup, managing every asset spread across multiple job sites is a challenge. That’s why Samsara has prioritized the building of new OEM integrations that unifies fleet data such as location, engine hours, fuel levels, fault codes, and more, to manage equipment on a single platform.  Samsara is pleased to announce three new cloud integrations with leading construction equipment manufacturers including:

  • CNH Industrial CASE SiteWatch

  • Volvo Construction CareTrack

  • Vermeer Telematics

Requiring no additional hardware installation, these integrations are designed to provide a seamless way for data to flow directly into Samsara to help improve fleet management, job site safety and cost efficiency for smarter operations. Now, fleet managers can connect construction equipment data from these and other OEMs like John Deere, Caterpillar, and Komatsu, on the Samsara Connected Operations Cloud

Delivering new integration solutions through customers

Our customers drive everything that we do at Samsara and we are proud to deliver these new OEM integrations on our App Marketplace as a direct result of customer input.

“We continue to rely on our customers’ feedback to inform our product roadmap and help us determine the right solutions that fit their needs,” said Christopher Mozzocchi, Senior Director of Product Management. “Integrations are key to providing customers the flexibility to use their platform of choice and still get the benefits of our Connected Operations Cloud.”
