For nearly 80 years, Caron has been a trusted name in hauling high-risk materials, including liquid chemicals, dry bulk, and aggregates such as gravel and coal. With six terminals across Canada and a fleet of more than 300 trucks, the company’s operations span from the Yukon to the Northwestern United States. The results have been transformative: The company reports that it has reduced severe speeding alerts by nearly 99% and reduced incidents among new trainees by 37%. Video footage has been critical in defending drivers against false claims, helping the company avoid millions in potential liability. By digitizing Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) through the Samsara Driver App, Caron Transportation Systems has saved over 600 labour hours annually—equivalent to 75 workdays—enabling drivers to focus on safe driving and customer service.
