Automatically detect low fuel and reroute in real time: Commercial Navigation can detect when fuel levels fall below a defined threshold. When triggered, drivers receive an in-cab alert along with an optimized reroute to a preferred fuel location—minimizing downtime and avoiding unnecessary detours.

Optimize routes in real time to help reduce fuel waste: Commercial Navigation continuously adjusts routes based on live traffic, road closures, and changing conditions. By helping drivers avoid congestion, unnecessary idling, and inefficient detours, fleets can reduce miles driven and improve overall fuel efficiency. Smarter routes don’t just save time—they can help lower fuel consumption.

Keep dispatch and drivers aligned with a shared live map: Drivers and dispatchers can now operate from the same ground truth. With a shared live navigation view in the Samsara dashboard, dispatchers see recommended routes alongside real-time driver progress and can push updates like new stops directly to the Driver App.

This shared visibility makes it easier to proactively manage exceptions, communicate clearly, and help keep deliveries on schedule—even when conditions change.

Strengthen global oversight with centralized administrative controls

Manage navigation settings centrally and lock profiles at scale: Administrators can configure and control navigation settings from a single dashboard. With Navigation Profile syncing, teams can assign and lock profiles across vehicles, preventing unauthorized changes and supporting policy compliance.

Support mixed fleets with configurable vehicle profiles: No two vehicles are exactly alike. Configurable profiles allow fleets to apply routing restrictions based on vehicle height, weight, length, width, and hazmat requirements—helping to promote safe, compliant routing across all asset types.
