Samsara's OEM Telematics solution provides fleets the ability to seamlessly bring data from connected assets into Samsara's unified platform. These secure API-based integrations bring data, such as GPS location and engine diagnostics, into a fleet's critical workflows directly from an OEMs telematics cloud with just a click— no complex installation required.

Whether you’re collecting data through Samsara’s Vehicle Gateways or an embedded OEM device, you can view it all in Samsara’s single, consolidated platform and use it to analyze and manage your fleet in one place. Samsara’s comprehensive platform experience also offers a mobile app for fleet managers, so you can always have full insights into your fleet whether you’re in the office, working remotely, or in the field.

Leverage Samsara workflows, reporting, and open API

Samsara’s solution has a full suite of workflows that leverage OEM-collected data for compliance, driver safety, dispatching, and reporting. Through the Samsara dashboard, you can leverage real-time GPS data to improve dispatching efficiency and provide customers with live ETAs, or monitor equipment’s engine hours through our Utilization Report to help more efficiently manage and schedule your assets. With Samsara, you can also seamlessly share data with other applications, like payroll and asset management tools, using our open API.

Unlock rich asset data

OEM-embedded telematics devices provide access to rich, accurate vehicle data, such as specific diagnostic codes or additional information about vehicle status, because it’s coming directly from the manufacturer. With our OEM integrations, you can bring this rich asset data in Samsara, make it available for your entire team to use, and have it automatically available in Samsara workflows and reports.

Avoid installing additional hardware

Whether you use embedded telematics or aftermarket hardware, we’re focused on making it easy for you to bring new vehicles and equipment online and manage them in Samsara. With pre-built API integrations, we provide a turnkey solution for easily bringing data from your embedded telematics devices into the Samsara platform without having to install new hardware.

Additionally, with OEM integrations, fleet managers don’t have to worry about losing track of assets because their gateway has been accidentally unplugged or tampered with. Embedded telematics devices help provide fleets with secure and reliable access to asset location and diagnostics, without having to replace or maintain aftermarket gateways.

Currently, we integrate with Ford Data Services, Navistar International 360, John Deere JDLink and Caterpillar VisionLink, which makes it easy for our customers to pull location data, diagnostics, and fault codes from their powered equipment and use it to improve asset utilization and uptime. We’re actively building out additional turnkey integrations with top light duty and heavy duty OEMs, which will be available soon.
