A new Age of Intelligence is emerging across the world of physical operations as artificial intelligence (AI) begins to play an increasingly pivotal role in how fleets, assets, and people are managed. The data collected is no longer simply being used as a system of record. Instead, this latest phase of computing innovation is being used to fuel smart systems that predict, adjust, and learn in real time.

And as the pioneer of the Connected Operations® Platform, Samsara is approaching this new age from a position of strength. How? Because we have access to ~20 trillion data points captured from millions of connected vehicles, sites, and assets around the world. And we’re using this to continuously train and develop our AI models, not just for our customers but the industry as a whole.

For fleet operators based in the office, it means fewer manual decisions, tighter control of costs, and clearer visibility from dispatch to delivery. For drivers behind the wheel, it’s making the job safer and more streamlined. Regardless of which seat you occupy, AI operates like a co-pilot, providing people across the whole operation with insights that anticipate risks and opportunities before they arise.

This, in a nutshell, is what the Age of Intelligence means for us and our customers. And it’s just one of the themes expected to dominate Go Beyond London ‘25, Samsara’s annual customer and partner event in the UK.

Those attending the London conference will hear about the latest developments, including how intelligent routing, navigation, and compliance tools are helping organisations move from reactive management to proactive, predictive operations.

Smart Compliance

For instance, Samsara’s new Smart Compliance solution helps fleets prevent tachograph infringements while cutting the administrative burden associated with compliance. Created in partnership with VDO—Europe’s leading tachograph brand—Samsara now integrates infringement analysis data from 17 countries directly into its platform. Powered by VDO’s infringement rulesets, the system combines infringement analysis, real-time driver alerts, and resolution workflows in one place, replacing fragmented tools traditionally used by transport managers.

A key innovation is the introduction of proactive audio alerts that warn drivers before they breach critical thresholds, such as the 4 hours and 30 minutes continuous driving rule. By intervening in real-time, Smart Compliance shifts fleets from a reactive stance to a proactive approach in managing risk. Click here to learn more.

Samsara Avatar

Attendees are also set to hear more about Samsara Avatar, an innovative new feature designed to help fleets scale their driver safety programmes through the use of life-like AI coaches. Samsara Avatar enables organisations to create human-centred training content by incorporating real team members into digital coaching workflows. Delivered directly through the Samsara Driver App, this new capability helps ensure consistent, engaging, and scalable driver training experiences across the fleet—enhancing safety, performance, and team connection.

Route planning and optimisation

Elsewhere, Samsara’s new AI-powered enterprise-grade Route Planning and Optimisation system is guaranteed to take centre stage at the event. It transforms manual, spreadsheet-based processes still common in transport planning and replaces them with a smart tool that’s made for modern operations. Simply import delivery/pick-up data, vehicle types, delivery windows, driver shift limits, and any special requirements such as refrigeration or whether you’re carrying dangerous goods (ADR certification). And that’s it.

The system weighs up multiple variables such as distance, fuel cost, vehicle operating hours, and traffic patterns before calculating the most efficient combination of routes and resources. Once the AI-generated route is given the green light, it’s sent directly to the Samsara Driver App.

Commercial navigation

The Driver App is also home to a new Commercial Navigation system. This provides real-time directions based not just on efficient routes but also on a vehicle’s dimensions, weight, and cargo class. It also factors in low bridges, weight-restricted roads, and shortly will cover emission-controlled zones. Unlike consumer apps such as Google Maps or Waze, it integrates directly with fleet data, using AI to interpret live traffic and road conditions to reroute drivers when necessary.

Weather intelligence

We’ve also extended our AI-powered Weather Intelligence feature to include the UK and Ireland, giving fleet managers live visibility of how weather affects their operations. The dashboard overlays radar data and weather forecasts onto vehicle locations, allowing planners and fleet managers to see which routes might be affected by heavy rain, snow, or high winds.

It also aggregates anonymised, real-time footage from millions of vehicles within Samsara’s network to show actual road conditions. The Street Sense feature builds on Samsara’s global camera network and can highlight real issues such as flooding, road debris, or poor visibility.  Click here to learn more.

AI Multicam

Talking of cameras, Samsara’s AI Multicam system is the latest development in our video safety platform and includes four additional high-definition cameras mounted around the vehicle to deliver full 360-degree coverage. The cameras use edge-based AI to eliminate blind spots—effectively allowing them to ‘see around corners’—alerting the driver if they spot any hazards. In short, this system addresses one of the UK’s most persistent fleet challenges: blind-spot incidents involving heavy goods vehicles. Click here to learn more.

Other announcements

Beyond the headline announcements, the event will showcase advances in driver coaching, dash cam analytics, and sustainability reporting, with each showing how AI is being applied to everyday operational challenges. This includes AI-powered automated driver coaching and an automated Qualifications Management tool

On their own, each shows how AI and smart technology are making a real impact on the way that fleets operate. Together, they mark a decisive step toward a future where AI drives the core of physical operations. They also underline Samsara’s push to make intelligence a standard part of how the world runs.

The innovations showcased at Go Beyond 25 shine a spotlight on how connected intelligence is already reshaping daily operations. But this is only the beginning. Many of Samsara’s best ideas come from conversations we have with our customers. And I am in no doubt that conversations like that will be happening at this year’s event in London. Who knows, next year we could be featuring a new innovation that was seeded here in London. Welcome to the Age of Intelligence.
