This quarter, Samsara takes another leap forward. Our latest releases deliver next-generation tools that redefine what it means to be a connected operation—pushing boundaries, driving innovation, and setting the standard for the industry. Built on the Samsara platform, every new feature is designed to work together, giving you a unified, intelligent system that delivers more value with every connection.

Intelligent safety platform

• Automated Coaching & Training: Scale world-class safety without adding resources or overburdening safety teams with automation and AI. Samsara AI watches event footage and prioritizes based on factors like severity, frequency, driver history, road conditions, and weather. Lower-priority events are sent to drivers for self-paced coaching in the Driver App, while higher-priority risks are escalated to managers for one-on-one attention.

• Performance Overview Dashboard: Provide supervisors with an AI-powered command center for risk and recognition. It presents a prioritized to-do list of drivers to review based on a holistic view of risk (including coaching adherence and history) and drivers to recognize (for streaks, safe speed, or improvements).

• AI-Powered Group Coaching Presentations: Empower every coach to be a world-class safety coach. Reduce prep time for group coaching sessions with the new Group Coaching feature that automatically generates presentations highlighting top performers, examples of risky behaviors, and team-wide trends.

• Weather Intelligence: Improve driver preparedness and reduce accidents with real-time visibility into severe weather right on the Samsara fleet map. Managers can instantly see which drivers are at risk, understand conditions on the ground through dash cam footage from nearby vehicles in the area (Samsara StreetSense), and alert drivers if they’re in harm’s way. 

• Worker Safety in the App (SOS): Allow workers to send an immediate alert via the Samsara Driver App, providing admins with rich context (GPS location, live camera footage, worker details) to make fast, informed decisions, contact emergency services, or dispatch nearby coworkers.

• Railroad Crossing Violation: Ensure legal and policy compliance by identifying when a vehicle fails to complete a stop at a railroad crossing. This detection is intended for fleets with stop-required vehicles, such as school buses and hazmat carriers, and uses GPS and map data to verify if the vehicle slowed below a configured speed threshold before crossing a mapped heavy rail location.

• Unified Health Report for Camera Connector & AI Multicam: Reduce device downtime by providing a centralized dashboard for monitoring the health of your gateways and cameras. By consolidating reports, it simplifies issue identification and resolution with clear status indicators and explanations.

Driver experience

• Commercial Navigation: Safe, compliant, and easy turn-by-turn directions tailored to vehicle restrictions: height, length, weight, or hazardous materials. Samsara unites telematics and dispatch data, setting the standard for ease of use and accuracy. Point solutions force drivers to toggle between multiple apps, whereas Samsara combines navigation and Hours of Service (HOS) data into a single, distraction-free interface within the Samsara Driver App.

• Driver App Home Screen: Improve driver workflow and safety with an updated home screen design. It places essential information (safety scores, HOS dials, tasks) front and center, introduces improved visibility in low-light environments via a dark mode, and allows for tailoring the experience with custom layouts.

• Fuel Receipt Form: Streamline the process of tracking fuel purchases with a standardized form in the Samsara Driver App. This allows drivers to submit fuel receipts directly from the fueling station, eliminating manual CSV downloads and uploads, and supports AI Extract to pre-fill fields from a photo of the receipt.

• Extended Audio: Enable more thorough incident investigation by retrieving up to 10 minutes of audio alongside Dash Cam and AI Multicam Secondary Extended Video footage. This provides critical evidence to resolve incidents that are primarily audible, such as disagreements between the driver and passengers, and can help exonerate the driver.

• Integrated DVIRs Powered by AI: Make vehicle inspections faster and more accurate with AI-driven features. AI Quality Checks help verify DVIR submission accuracy (e.g., detecting if the inspection photo was properly taken), and Voice Transcriptions for Notes allow drivers to speak their notes for quicker, higher-quality walkarounds.

• Emergency Response Labels on Safety Events: Ensure fair and accurate driver scoring by automatically identifying safety events that occurred during a legitimate emergency response for ambulances, fire trucks, and other emergency vehicles. This feature automatically adds context labels like 'Emergency Lights Active' to events when auxiliary inputs are engaged, and can be optionally configured to automatically dismiss those events from the review process.

Telematics and maintenance

• Expanded Maintenance Features: Increase asset utilization and improve mechanic efficiency by providing visibility into maintenance spending, simplifying workflows, reducing repeat shop visits, and proactively managing parts.

  • Improve efficiency by allowing managers to automatically create a work order directly from a DVIR defect with a single click.

  • Reduce repeat shop visits with smart work orders, which automatically combine multiple required services into a single maintenance event.

  • Streamline parts tracking and accounting with inventory management features like setting up locations, tracking parts quantity and consumption, and getting low-stock alerts.

  • Ensure safety by giving managers the ability to mark a vehicle as "out of service" if it has an unsafe DVIR, preventing drivers from operating it.

• New Idling Report: Define and analyze unproductive idling with customizable rules based on duration, ambient temperature, PTO status, and Diesel Regen status. This report provides dedicated views for drivers and vehicles, including performance leaderboards and location heatmaps, and allows filtering to identify specific idling behaviors.

• Driver and Vehicle Qualifications: Reduce administrative burden and mitigate compliance risk with an automated, AI-powered solution for managing worker and asset qualifications. This includes AI Upload Workflows for bulk uploading records, Driver App Management for driver viewing and submission, and Automatic Alerts for unauthorized assignments and expiration reminders.

• AI Diagnostic Fault Code Severity and Description: Accelerate the diagnostic process by providing technicians with immediate, understandable information on vehicle faults. This feature improves repair planning and first-time fix rates by clarifying the root cause of an issue.

Asset management

• Asset Tag Battery & Device Health Support: Reduce device downtime and streamline issue resolution with a centralized dashboard for monitoring the health of your gateways and cameras. By consolidating reports, this feature simplifies issue identification with clear status indicators, helping you quickly troubleshoot problems.

• Update Tractor-Trailer Power Diagnostic: Improve reliability and avoid operational risks by helping to isolate the root cause of recurring tractor or trailer power loss. This feature uses two advanced report templates (Faulty Tractors and Faulty Trailers) to surface power disruption patterns across multiple vehicles, enabling targeted maintenance.

• AI Fault Code Insights for Trailer ABS: Reduce delays and downtime by leveraging AI to save maintenance teams time in decoding complex ABS fault codes. The system analyzes codes from trailer ABS systems and provides detailed, human-readable descriptions, AI-generated summaries of potential risks, and recommended actions to guide technicians.

Compliance

• ELD Form and Manner Violation Risk Report: Proactively identify and address HOS compliance risks before citations occur. The report flags instances where a driver enters a driving status without providing required fields like Shipping ID or Trailer Name, detecting drivers at risk of citations due to missing information in their logs.

• Agriculture Exemption: Simplify HOS compliance for agricultural fleets by automating the logging of exempt driving time. Admins configure an "Agriculture Source" to define the required 150 air-mile exempt radius, and drivers use the Driver App to easily claim the exemption. The system automatically logs drive time within the radius as Personal Conveyance and prompts drivers with a one-tap transition when entering or exiting the zone.

Platform

• Next Generation AI Assistant: Position AI as an everyday partner for the office team, offering deep operational expertise (on assets, policy documents), real-world knowledge (regulations, traffic, weather), and specialist guidance (compliance, maintenance instructions). This release introduces Advanced Reasoning to answer complex questions, including weather-related insights and web search queries.

• Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Users: Safeguard sensitive fleet, driver, and financial data by requiring a second verification step at login. Admins can enforce MFA for all users, privileged roles, or admins, with users receiving a one-time passcode via registered email or verified phone number to complete sign-in.

Integrations

Samsara features the most expansive open ecosystem of turnkey integrations supporting over 350 integration partners globally. This quarter, we added the following integrations to our growing App Marketplace. 

• Element: Redefine fleet operations with Samsara and Element. This joint offering streamlines procurement and onboarding for shared customers while delivering greater safety, efficiency, and control through the combined power of their platforms—far beyond traditional telematics. With Samsara data integrated into Element, customers unlock end-to-end visibility across their fleet lifecycle, enabling data-driven improvements in safety, uptime, compliance, and sustainability. 

• TMW.Suite: Power end-to-end business growth with the fully integrated TMW.Suite Transportation Management System. By syncing Samsara’s live telematics data into TMW.Suite, carriers, brokers, and 3PLs can streamline dispatch workflows, stay connected with drivers in real time, and enhance operational coordination from route to settlement.

• Operative IQ: Keep emergency service fleets service-ready with Samsara’s integration into the Operative IQ Fleet Maintenance application. Designed for EMS, fire, and law enforcement agencies, this integration unlocks Samsara telematics data for proactive maintenance planning, helping ensure critical vehicles are always ready to respond.

• Acuity Insurance: Enhance safety and operational efficiency by integrating Samsara telematics with Acuity Insurance. Customers gain access to actionable driver monitoring and risk management tools, and those who share telematics data may also qualify for premium discounts, incentivizing safer fleet practices.

• Transporeon Visibility Hub: Unlock end-to-end transportation visibility by connecting Samsara data with Transporeon’s platform. With access to one of the world’s largest logistics networks—including 1,300+ shippers and 145,000+ carriers—customers can digitalize workflows from procurement to settlement while leveraging real-time telematics insights for better operational control.

• Hey Bubba!: Simplify dispatch with Bubba, your always-on AI voice assistant for trucking operations. Designed for owner-operators and small fleets, Bubba handles everything from finding top-paying loads to calling brokers, negotiating rates, and managing paperwork.
