Working at Samsara means you’ll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that’s shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, Equipment Monitoring, and Site Visibility. As part of a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term.
About the role:
Samsara’s Sales Programs team enables a high-performance sales team by leveraging technology, automation, and best-in-class methodologies to streamline operations, improve forecasting accuracy, and maximize sales efficiency & effectiveness.
The Senior Program Manager will lead and drive key sales programs that support the operating rhythm and execution of our go-to-market (GTM) motion. This high-impact role will be instrumental in prioritizing, implementing, and operationalizing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives that improve planning, execution, and change management across the Sales organization. The ideal candidate has strong analytical business acumen, a passion for optimizing processes, and a track record of driving strategic programs in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for candidates who will champion, role model and embed Samsara’s operating principles as we scale globally and across new offices.
This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US except the San Francisco Bay Metro Area, NYC Metro Area, and Washington, D.C. Metro Area.
You should apply if:
- You want to impact the industries that run our world: Every phone call you answer and every email you send can affect whether truck drivers deliver goods on time and without accidents, whether students get dropped off safely from school, or whether power gets restored quickly after a natural disaster.
- You thrive the most when solving problems: Our constantly expanding technology and the complexities faced by our customers provide an exciting range of challenges for our Customer Success teams. With a growth mindset and a desire to learn, you will strategically partner with our customers to find unique solutions to help keep their operations safe, efficient, and sustainable.
- You are a natural relationship builder: Whether the relationship is with our customers or with cross-functional teams in Samsara, you are in constant communication and collaboration with key stakeholders to win as a team.
- You are the architect of your own career: If you put in the work, this role won’t be your last at Samsara. This Customer Success team is still shaping its future and you will have plenty of autonomy and opportunities to master your craft in a hyper-growth environment.
- You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together and support each other. You will be surrounded by the best and brightest professionals out there.
In this role, you will:
- Program Execution & Operational Cadence: Lead and manage high-impact programs that support core operational rhythms such as quarterly and annual planning, performance reviews, and key organizational processes
- Business Reviews & Strategic Events: Drive end-to-end coordination for strategic meetings and events—aligning stakeholders, preparing content, and ensuring execution excellence.
- Planning Calendar & Milestone Management: Develop and manage planning cadences, program roadmaps, and key deliverable timelines to keep initiatives on track and aligned with business objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with key stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Finance, Enablement, and other teams to ensure clear communication, ownership, and alignment.
- Change Management: Drive change management for process improvements within the Sales organization, ensuring the team is prepared, supported, and equipped with the necessary resources to adapt to organizational change
- Program Measurement & Insights: Monitor program progress through KPIs and milestones and identify areas for improvement to drive continued program impact.
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Bachelor's Degree from a 4 year institution
- 6-8 years of experience in program management, sales operations, strategy, or consulting, ideally in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional GTM programs that improve sales execution and scalability
- Strong program management skills with expertise in end-to-end delivery (i.e. framing the need, scope requirements, document project roadmaps, partnering with teams, defining KPIs and reporting out on results)
- Ability to ramp up quickly on business priorities and derive insights from data to inform decisions
- Strong communication and written language skills including clear and concise documentation
- Proven track record of building trust and effectively partnering with a wide variety of stakeholders: executives, managers, front-line teammates and cross-functional partners
- Diplomacy, tact, and poise under pressure when working through issues, skilled at having prioritization conversations and discussing tradeoffs
