Our customers drive everything we do at Samsara—their feedback fuels innovation so we can help them work safely, efficiently, and sustainably. Through our annual Connected Operations Awards, we celebrate the incredible achievements of our customers and recognise the hard work behind it. These awards honor leading fleets, companies, government entities, and individuals transforming their operations and creating impactful outcomes.

Each year, the number of submissions amazes us. Our enterprise applicants broke records this year with a 183% increase. These submissions are filled with meaningful stories of safety, efficiency, and sustainability wins. However, there was one outstanding theme across all submissions: it’s the people—the frontline workers that keep our world moving—that make these accomplishments possible. Our Awards Committee extends their gratitude to all applicants for taking the time to submit their stories and share their impact.

We’re proud to innovate alongside our customers who are leading the way in physical operations. Join us in celebrating the 2025 Samsara EMEA Connected Operations Award winners and discover their inspiring stories.

Safest Operator: Vp Brandon Hire Station

The Connected Operations Award for Safest Operator recognises organisations that use technology to improve safety within their workforce and the communities they serve. This year's winner exemplifies this commitment by improving safety and fostering a proactive safety culture with Samsara's technology.

Vp Brandon Hire Station, the UK’s trusted tool and equipment hire specialist, manages over 500 vehicles across 120 locations. Facing high accident costs and limited visibility into driver behavior, they implemented Samsara AI Dash Cams, Vehicle Telematics, and the Driver App. This transformed their safety program, moving from a reactive to proactive approach backed by data.

Since implementing Samsara, they have seen significant safety improvements, achieving a remarkable 40% reduction in third-party accident costs, saving £192,000 so far. Targeted coaching based on AI detections led to a 93% reduction in mobile phone usage, a 90% reduction in following distance violations, and an 88% reduction in speeding incidents. Their average Safety Score improved from 83 to 93, with 92 drivers achieving perfect 100 scores. Samsara footage has also been crucial for driver exoneration, building trust within the team, and earning dash cam evangelists.

Finalists: Cappagh Browne, Integral

Most Sustainable Operations: RubanBleu

The Connected Operations Award for Most Sustainable Operations recognises organisations that are committed to reducing their environmental impact and driving business policies that contribute to better environments. This year's winner accelerates their sustainability efforts related to eco-driving and energy transition using Samsara data insights.

Founded over 70 years ago, RubanBleu Group is a family-run business with ambitious sustainability goals, including a 100% clean fleet by 2026. They're actively implementing proactive policies to reduce CO2 emissions and using data to invest wisely in clean vehicles.

RubanBleu utilises Samsara driving data to promote eco-responsible practices. This has led to a 14% average reduction in fuel consumption, saving €49,000 annually and cutting CO2 emissions by 7% per kilometer. Additionally, idling time is down, leading to a 27% decrease in fuel waste. Samsara data also supports their vehicle energy transition, with 92% of their 480 vehicles transitioned to clean energy in late 2024. By using Samsara AI Dash Cams, RubanBleu experienced a 30% drop in accidents for which the company is responsible.

Finalists: Fraikin, TMO Highways

Industry Innovator: OCU Group Limited

The Connected Operations Award for Industry Innovator recognises companies that deliver a measurable shift in operational performance by introducing new technologies. This year's winner has demonstrated a best-in-class approach to digital transformation, integrating data and leveraging new technologies to drive a significant step-change in their operations.

OCU Group Limitedleads the way in end-to-end infrastructure engineering in the utilities, digital, and energy markets, specialising in safely and efficiently delivering complex client requirements. Operating nationwide, they are supported by a fleet of over 2,700 vehicles daily. Facing rising insurance costs and fleet risk due to minimal visibility into driver behavior and unreliable memory-based cameras, OCU Group Limited partnered with Samsara. Their solution involved implementing AI Dash Cams, Vehicle Telematics, and an API integration to replace outdated tracking systems and protect drivers while improving risk management.

Since implementing Samsara, OCU Group Limited has achieved remarkable results. They saw a 28% reduction in total claims volume for 2024 - 2025 when compared to the previous insurance year. There was also a 42% reduction in total claim insurance costs when compared to the previous insurance year—while growing their fleet by 600 vehicles. This was largely due to more efficient incident reporting, with 70% of claims now reported to insurers within 48 hours compared to a previous minimum of around 3-4 days.

Finalists: Lanes Group, EV Cargo, Trasporti Romagna Spa

Excellence in Driver Engagement: Delifresh

The Connected Operations Award for Excellence in Driver Engagement recognises companies that empower, protect, and reward drivers through outstanding driver engagement programs. This year's winner demonstrates how AI Dash Cams—combined with a strong safety culture—can build safer habits, protect drivers from false claims, and significantly improve driver engagement scores.

Delifresh has grown into a national food-supply solution, serving over 2,000 customers across the UK catering and hospitality industry with 1,200 to 1,500 multi-drop deliveries daily. With approximately 150 drivers covering 100 different routes, the company looked to adopt a more granular approach to driver safety and fleet management. Their initiative focused on creating a values-driven culture of safety that extended beyond metrics to genuinely care for their drivers' wellbeing. The company replaced outdated tracking systems with Samsara AI Dash Cams, Connected Training, and Vehicle Telematics to better protect their drivers and improve efficiency.

Delifresh's journey with Samsara transformed their approach to safety. By incentivising safe driving through a company-wide, profit-sharing bonus plan, Delifresh achieved a 35% reduction in distracted driving and decreased driver fatigue with Drowsiness Detection alerts. Connected Training led to a 97% completion rate of over 4,000 courses, contributing to a 61% reduction in average insurance claims cost per vehicle. Additionally, insurance reporting time decreased from 21 to 6 days, and enhanced proof of delivery workflows led to a 54% reduction in unnecessary redelivery miles.

Finalists: CLEAN Linen & Workwear, Grouptyre Wholesale Ltd

Top Driver: Sean Farrell, CLEAN Linen & Workwear

The Connected Operations Award for Top Driver (Europe) recognises a professional driver who has an exceptional driving record and promotes safety within their organisation. This year's winner actively contributes to a safer environment by consistently excelling in their own performance and by mentoring their peers, ensuring safer journeys for all.

CLEAN Linen & Workwear, part of the Alsco family of companies, is a leading provider of textile rental and laundry services for over 2,000 customers throughout the UK. Their team of 200 drivers delivers linens and uniforms to hospitality and industrial customers daily. Facing rising collision rates and insurance costs, CLEAN realised a disciplinary approach wasn't effective. They replaced outdated tracking systems with Samsara AI-powered technology and redefined their approach to driver management, focusing on support and empowerment rather than punishment.

Sean Farrell, a Senior Driver at CLEAN, has emerged as a true safety champion. He has maintained a collision-free record since joining in 2016 and achieved an exceptional safety score of 96 throughout 2024. Sean's personal approach to peer coaching includes spending time understanding drivers' challenges and using Samsara's data to provide practical, relatable advice. Under his coaching guidance and using Samsara safety insights, the Camberley depot alone reduced collisions by 52%, improved Safety Scores by 50%, and increased eco-driving scores by 23%. CLEAN’s safety approach also resulted in a significant annual reduction in insurance premiums. In addition to this, CLEAN received a cash bursary from their insurer, which is being reinvested into CLEAN’s driver training programs, highlighting the tangible impact of their driver engagement initiatives.
