Subscribe nowIt’s impossible to single out one announcement from Go Beyond London’25 without doing a disservice to the dozen or so others that also deserve top billing. From Smart Compliance and Commercial Navigation to Weather Intelligence and AI Multicam, the breadth of announcements touched almost every part of physical operations.
What’s clear is that a new “Age of Intelligence” is emerging across the world of physical operations as artificial intelligence (AI) plays an increasingly pivotal role in how fleets, assets, and people are managed.
One press article described the annual event as “less like a traditional B2B tech conference and more like an Apple product launch.” I would go further. For me, Go Beyond London’25 buzzed with the sound of an industry eager to know how technology can make a positive impact on their operations.
The conversations focused on process and how to get drivers to adopt safety solutions. Elsewhere, breakout sessions were dominated by under-the-bonnet discussions about exactly how the technology can be implemented to support fleets.
In one safety-focused presentation, for example, a customer described how Samsara’s dash cam footage and accompanying data had exonerated drivers involved in accidents. As a result, drivers began viewing the system as a co-pilot and a second pair of eyes looking out for them when out on the road.
The honesty of the conversations taking place showed how people within the Samsara community are happy to share their experiences to help others. This happened time and time again throughout the day.
“Like most operators, we were good at managing major incidents,” said another, “but we were missing the low-level behaviours that turn into major incidents. Coaching helped us intervene earlier, and you could see the change in how drivers approached every shift.”
They went on: “We started seeing driver confidence grow. One exoneration, then another, then another. You could really see the shift in their interactions with us. Our drivers started referring to Samsara as a ‘co-pilot’.”
During a packed breakout session that discussed the latest innovations for Smart Compliance, one customer said: “We were switching between three different systems—one for downloads, one for infringements, and one for telematics. None of them talked to each other.”
“Samsara putting everything in one place means we finally have a fighting chance of staying ahead of infringements, instead of digging through paperwork.”
During the session about asset tags—small, rugged units powered by industrial-strength Bluetooth—attendees heard how one US firm recovered $5 million worth of stolen equipment in six months, while another firm had recovered seven stolen assets.
In a product first, Samsara introduced a new Level Monitoring solution that leverages the same industrial-grade technology—combined with a compact radar sensor—to pinpoint the location of a tank and measure how much liquid it contains. Use cases could include on-site fuel storage tanks for vehicles and generators or heating oil for off-grid premises. Not only might this be used to track usage, it could also monitor theft as well.
As soon as the feature was shown on screen, the questions started. One attendee discussed how it might be used for recycling used vegetable oil while another asked whether it could read solids as well as liquids.
“The sensor uses radar, so it works best with liquids or fine-grain materials,” explained David Gal, VP of Product & Engineering. “If the surface reflects the signal, we can measure it.”
What was clear in that moment was that customers and prospects—on hearing about the new capability—were figuring out how this latest addition to Samsara’s portfolio might impact their business.
In other words, these are real-world solutions addressing real-world problems.
The final session of the day focused on the Connected Operations Awards, Samsara’s annual programme recognising standout achievements across safety, sustainability, efficiency, and innovation.
Peter Cox, Head of Transport at UK linen, workwear rental and laundry service company CLEAN Linen & Workwear (Top Driver Award—Sean Farrell), was joined on stage by Andrew Sharp, Transport Shift Manager at UK food distribution company Delifresh (Excellence in Driver Engagement).
Peter emphasised that CLEAN’s success came from the people behind the wheel, not from headquarters.
“This wasn’t really about us. It was about showing what our drivers have achieved. We wanted to inspire the rest of the team and show how far we’ve come in just two years,” he said.
Andrew echoed what Peter said, adding, “I genuinely believe our partnership with Samsara has saved lives. Not just our drivers but the people they share the road with. That’s what this award represents for us.”
He also described how the application process had changed their internal understanding of the platform:
“When we pulled the data together, it hit us between the eyes. The coaching, the redelivery reductions, the exonerations. We realised we were using far more of the platform than we thought, and the impact was much bigger than we had assumed.”
Entries for next year are now open. The closing date is 27 February 2026.
Both winners urged everyone who uses Samsara’s Connected Operations® Platform to apply because, if nothing else, it’s a great opportunity to “look at the data, gather stories, and assess just how far you’ve come.”
Go Beyond London’25 opened with the idea that physical operations has entered the “Age of Intelligence.” The entire day—from the keynote to closing remarks—proved that.
What stood out was not just the technology Samsara unveiled, but how ready operators are to put it to work. By using data, automation, and AI to solve problems once handled with paper, guesswork, or sheer manpower, they are living proof of the positive changes being brought about by digital transformation.
