As we continue to innovate across our product portfolio, we take the full lifecycle of every piece of hardware seriously, from how it’s built to how it’s eventually retired.
Today, we’re proud to share a new step in our hardware supply chain sustainability efforts: Samsara has joined e-Stewards as an Enterprise Partner.
The e-Stewards Enterprise Program brings together organizations committed to responsible practices in electronics processing and end-of-life management. By joining the program, Samsara is reinforcing its commitment to high standards for ethical electronics processing and to partners who share that focus.
Samsara will prioritize licensed e-Stewards Certified Processors in the disposal of hardware products under our control. We will also report our progress annually to e-Stewards for greater transparency.
Processors that complete e-Stewards’ certification process meet a comprehensive set of performance requirements, ensuring high levels of social and environmental protection. For example, processors must demonstrate:
Strict Export Controls: Adherence to international law, including prohibiting the dumping of electronic waste.
Safe Materials Management: Specialized handling of materials of concern throughout the recycling chain to protect workers and local environments.
Verified Accountability: Participation in unannounced audits and GPS tracking to ensure high levels of protection are maintained.
Through this commitment, we’re setting an even stronger standard for our hardware supply chain, one that reflects the transparency and accountability that underpin our broader sustainability efforts.
We’re proud to join e-Stewards as an Enterprise Partner and to continue building on the practices that help us operate more sustainably and better serve our customers.
