Customer Referral Program

Customers can refer their colleagues and earn up to $500 in rewards after the referred colleague makes a qualifying purchase, subject to the restrictions set forth below. To be eligible, referrals must be submitted via your personal referral link or you must provide full and accurate information in the 'Submit Referral' form. You must have the right permissions to share someone’s personal information, be a Samsara customer in good financial standing, and have approval from your employer to receive rewards. Additionally, you must be 18 years or older and agree to full program terms and conditions

Q: How do I submit a referral?

A: Referrals must be submitted through the Customer Referral Page or by using your unique referral link. Check out this ‘how to’ video for additional assistance. Before submitting a referral or anyone's personal information to Samsara, be sure you have the person's permission to do so.  If you later find out you did not have such permission, please inform us as soon as possible. For more information about Samsara's processing of personal information, see samsara.com/support/privacy.


Q: What are the eligibility requirements?

A: To be eligible for a referral reward:

  • Have the referral submitted through the Customer Referral Page or by using your unique referral link from your My Referral portal in the Samsara dashboard.

  • Be referred by a current Samsara customer by the time of purchase (i.e. you have a login to a Samsara dashboard account with a valid, paid license).

  • Not be a self-referral

  • Not be prohibited by your employer from receiving the reward

  • Be over 18 years old

  • Friend must be referred before they are engaged with the Samsara Sales team


Q: What counts as a qualifying purchase?

A: As of Oct. 11, 2021, the referred friend must purchase at least 5 qualifying licenses in order to be eligible.

For referrals submitted before Oct. 11, 2021, the referred friend must have purchased at least 3 qualifying licenses in order to be eligible.


Q: What are the types of referral rewards?

A: Referral rewards are sent in the form of a digital gift card, and you can select from over 80 vendors to chose the right reward for you.


Q: How do I find my unique referral link?

Most Samsara customers can find their referral link in the ‘Referrals’ portal in the Samsara Dashboard. To access your unique link from your Samsara Cloud Dashboard click on your user profile icon and select Referrals from the menu. Your referral portal will contain your unique link. Check out this ‘how to’ video for additional assistance.


Q: My Referrals portal won't open when I use the direct link. Why?

Pop ups must be enabled for the direct link to open your referrals portal in a separate tab from your Samsara Cloud dashboard. You can also access your unique link from your Samsara Cloud Dashboard by clicking on your user profile icon and selecting Referrals from the menu. Check out this ‘how to’ video for additional assistance.


Q: Someone I referred made a purchase! When will I receive my reward?

A: If you have access to the Referral Portal in your Samsara Dashboard, your digital gift card will be available when your referred friend is 30 days post-purchase. See this Help Center article for more information.  Referred customers, will receive the gift card via email.

If you do not yet have access to the Referral Portal in your Samsara dashboard, referrals are paid out between 30-60 days after the colleague you referred makes a qualifying purchase.

All potentially eligible referrals are reviewed at the beginning of each month. If your referral is approved for a reward, we will reach out via email and request that you confirm your email address before sending you a link to claim your referral reward via digital gift card.

If it has been more than 60 days and you have not received any communications from us about your referral reward, please email referrals@samsara.com.


Q: How do I find out the status of a referral I submitted?

A: If you have access to the Referral Portal in your Samsara Dashboard, you can see the status of your referrals there. For more detailed instructions see this Help Center article.

If you do not yet have access to the Referral Portal in your Samsara Dashboard, reach out to your account rep or referrals@samsara.com.


Q: My referral wasn't approved for a reward. Why?

A: There are a number of reasons a referral may have been disqualified, including:

  • Your referred colleague was already engaged with Samsara Sales

  • Your referred colleague did not purchase a qualifying number of units

  • Your referred colleague hasn't yet hit the 30 day post-purchase threshold

  • Your referral returned their purchase in the 30-day return period

  • You referred yourself

If you believe your referral was mistakenly disqualified, please submit a ticket. Samsara has sole discretion to determine whether to grant a referral reward.


Q: Can I refer my own business or organization?

Individuals may not refer to themselves or their own businesses. This includes separate contacts at the same business or a second business that you are also associated with.


Q: Is there a time limit for someone to use my referral

Referrals expire after 60 days from the submission date

Individuals may not refer themselves. Referrals are reviewed when the referred account is 30 days post-purchase, and rewards are sent within 60 days of a qualifying purchase. This offer is subject to cancellation at any time.
