Graceland Portable Buildings is a Kentucky-based storage shed manufacturer that has grown over the past two decades into one of the industry's top builders, operating across 20 states from North Carolina to Arizona. With a fleet of more than 50 vehicles and 30 specialized, oversized-load drivers, the company manages their own manufacturing and transportation operations, making fleet reliability, safety, and uptime critical to supporting both corporate and independent dealers.

Prior to making a change, Graceland used Motive for telematics and ELD compliance, alongside manual processes to manage several core workflows. While Motive provided tracking functionality, the team found it difficult to get timely assistance when questions arose. "Getting someone at Motive on the phone was difficult," said Chris Hammock, Director of Transportation. "It didn't seem like a partnership. We always struggled to get what we needed." Additionally, maintenance workflows lacked structure and detailed cost tracking, which led the team to rely on a spreadsheet that was prone to gaps and outdated information. Safety management required 25 hours each week to review captured events and assign coaching, limiting the team's ability to focus on broader operational priorities.
