Hydromax USA is a recognized leader in utility field services, providing advanced solutions for gas, water, and wastewater systems. Their work often involves complex inspections in underground infrastructure, using high-value assets such as precision positioning tools and LAMP II robots, which they send into cramped utility tunnels to inspect areas people can’t easily reach.

To support field teams and maximize uptime, Hydromax USA requires real-time visibility into the location of their equipment. To deliver on this goal, Hydromax USA implemented Samsara AI Dash Cams and Fleet Telematics to gain real-time insights into their vehicles and driver activities. In addition, the company selected Samsara's Asset Tag for their durability, battery life, and advanced tracking capabilities.

Before selecting Asset Tag, the Hydromax USA team conducted a pilot program to test their durability, water resistance, battery life, and ping rates. “Once we saw that the Asset Tag delivered exactly as promised, it was a clear confirmation that we were headed in the right direction,” said Jonathon Crouch, Supply Chain Manager. “We’ve enhanced our ability to protect our assets and manage them with greater precision and efficiency."

With Asset Tag, Hydromax USA has real-time visibility into asset location and dormancy 24 hours a day. This includes the ability to protect high-value equipment, such as LAMP II robots. Moreover, Asset Tag has allowed the company to improve inventory management, reducing the time needed for a company-wide asset audit to a matter of minutes. The company also optimizes equipment distribution, helping to reduce the need for expedited shipments while generating time and cost savings.
