When networks fail, your operations can’t. Even during widespread outages, we make sure that field teams stay connected and maintain service. Our Virtual Network Operations Center (VNOC) monitors device connectivity in real time and works directly with carriers to resolve issues quickly. We’ve enabled automatic network failover for customers in high-risk areas, which allows Samsara devices to switch between the top two U.S. carriers to preserve coverage during outages. To help first responders make fast, informed decisions, our FirstNet integration provides priority communication access and near real-time routing and dispatch insights.
We also give frontline teams the real-time tools they need to easily adapt to changing conditions. Here’s how they’re using our technology to respond fast during disasters.
Protect lone workers and mobile teams:
The Samsara Wearable monitors real-time movement, detects falls, and includes an SOS button so workers can call for help instantly if needed.
Stay aware of changing conditions on the ground:
StreetSense is our new feature that uses AI-powered street-level insights to help teams reroute, assess damage, and navigate changing road conditions.
GPS tracking with weather intelligence overlays allows you to integrate real-time weather alerts and forecasts with your fleet visibility to anticipate risks like flooding.
Keep field teams informed and coordinated:
Two-way messaging in the Driver App allows you to instantly share instructions or safety updates with drivers and field crews.
Live location sharing makes it easy to coordinate with teams, customers, or agency partners using secure tracking links.
Make sure vehicles are ready to deploy:
Fuel and engine monitoring confirms that vehicles are fueled and operational for extended use during response or evacuation.
Incident response workflows automate alerts, status updates, and post-incident reporting directly from the field.
When a disaster hits, waiting isn’t an option. Whether you’re on the ground or looking for ways to support from afar, we’re committed to helping our customers and their communities stay safe and operational. Our team is available 24/7 if you need assistance.
