The Challenge
Denali needed a consolidated system to manage their dispersed workforce
Denali is the nation's largest full-service organic recycling company. They collect unused food and other organic materials—such as used cooking oil—and recycle them into beneficial products like compost, natural fertilizer, and biodiesel. Operating nationwide, they serve grocery stores, food manufacturers, sports and entertainment venues, hotels, universities, schools, and more. By repurposing organic waste, Denali helps customers meet their sustainability goals and return valuable nutrients back to the earth.
Before implementing Samsara, Denali's team juggled several fragmented systems. Their previous technology stack included Omnitracs for fleet management alongside various point solutions, creating inefficiencies and visibility gaps. "We were using Omnitracs' telematics. When they made changes to the platform that didn't work for us, we started looking for a new solution," said Charles Pattee III, North Regional Safety Manager. "At the same time, we were evaluating dash cams. Omnitracs used third-party cameras and we wanted a fully integrated system."
