Meet Dott

A European micromobility operator founded in 2018, Dott operates more than 40,000 scooters and 10,000 electric bikes in major cities in France, Belgium, Israel, Italy, Poland, Spain, Sweden and the UK. To ensure vehicle charging, maintenance and repair, Dott relies on its own workshops and a fleet of cargo bikes and utility vehicles, enabling its technicians to make daily maintenance rounds.

Thanks to Samsara's connected platform and to the external dashcams that have been fitted into 90 commercial vehicles to date, Dott can follow the working day of its technicians in real-time, empowered by contextual data to make the right decisions. In particular, Dott can analyze driver behavior and send safety recommendations based on events detected or anticipated by AI. Dott also relies on IoT data to proactively train its teams to adopt ever safer driving.

The use of Samsara solutions has quickly translated into tangible benefits and results that have far exceeded Dott's expectations. In the city of Lyon, where the solution was initially deployed, Dott has seen a significant reduction in the number of accidents, from about 30 in 2021 to about 20 in 2022, while the number of at-fault accidents dropped by 38%.
