Problem

Fraikin Ltd is one of the largest providers of commercial vehicle contract hire and rental solutions in the UK, offering a fleet of 5,000+ vehicles. Looking to differentiate, Fraikin wanted to change the nature of a hire contract and become more than just a supplier of vehicles. To achieve this, the company needed a way to measure and analyze critical data insights to help its 200+ customers optimize their fleet operations.

How they solved it

Samsara AI Dash Cams, Asset Gateways, Door Monitors, Environmental Monitors, and Vehicle Gateways are fitted to Fraikin’s fleet, taking only 15 minutes per vehicle — 25 minutes less than previous equipment. Remote tachograph management is also enabled for customers who want to access and analyze live tacho data. The reduced install time minimized disruption and created flexibility to easily upgrade vehicles around a customer’s schedule.

Ease of use has been key to getting Fraikin customers up and running quickly, with a 20-minute online training session, plus optional instructional videos, enabling drivers to become familiar with the new products.
