Bridging the preparedness gap.
Public sector agencies fully understand the disaster preparedness dilemma they face. In fact, 68% of public sector leaders say they could be more prepared for a major crisis or emergency, while 10% admit they are not prepared at all.
This finding comes from Samsara’s recent State of Connected Operations report, which surveyed 250 public sector leaders about disaster preparedness and response, seeking to uncover the challenges agencies face with visibility, connectivity, and resource allocation, as well as the growing impact of AI.
The bad news: inadequate preparation could not come at a worse time. Extreme weather events, like hurricanes and tornadoes, are becoming more frequent and severe; infrastructure is aging; and cyberthreats become more sophisticated and potentially damaging by the day.
The good news: the fact that public sector leaders are aware of the need to improve their disaster preparedness is a promising step forward. The question, of course, is what can be done to go from unprepared to ready to act to respond to any storm or emergency?
This webinar will answer that question and explore both findings from the State of Connected Operations report and the experiences of Samsara’s public sector customers.
The webinar will feature insights from Samsara’s Anna Mirsalari who will discuss the report’s findings. Chase Breeden, an enterprise implementation consultant for Samsara with a law enforcement background, will share his real-world experiences overcoming the budgetary, technology, and interagency collaboration challenges public sector organizations face when it comes to deploying new technologies.
At the end of the webinar, Anna will present a checklist of actions public sector organizations can follow to kickstart conversations that improve their emergency preparedness.
